The GF Play Difference
Materials - See What We’re Really Made Of!
GF Play creates playgrounds from scratch – literally! Our equipment is fabricated from the highest quality components to help ensure regulatory compliance as well as to provide the safest play experience possible.
Our rails, posts, handrails, ladders and other metal components are manufactured using RS20 Flocoat Steel Tubing. Welds are made with bronze silicate wire, deburred and then zinc-coated before a high-quality dry polyester powdercoat finish is applied.
TREXTM provides an inviting natural wood look without the high maintenance of real wood. TREXTM is a composite materials of recycled post-consumer plastic and recycled post-production or recovered wood fibers. Decks, ramps, and bridges are manufactured using TREXTM which provides a child friendly, low maintenance, slip resistant surface even when wet! It comes ina variety of colors, and it won’t crack or peel like PVC coated decks, which are typical of most playground equipment.
Polytone panels are machine cut from extruded, stress-relieved, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic in 1/2" or 3/4" thickness, depending on the application. The molded-in color and durable plastic provide low maintenance and cost-effective components.
Rotationally molded one-piece slides and roofs are durable, colorful and low maintenance features of all our play systems. The linear low-density polyethylene components are manufactured with a minimum 3/16" wall thickness.
Our hardware has been selected for quality and durability. Stainless steel nuts, bolts, screws and fillings are used in all applications where needed with high quality and cost effective zinc dichromate hardware used in other applications.
